Self-regulation is a critical skill for young people to master, but teaching it can seem overwhelming. This session will help you learn strategies that help students learn to regulate their emotions and keep their brains in an optimal state for learning. Kara will share her routines and procedures, as well as an extensive tool list. Ideas for in person and virtual learners will be shared. The second half of the session will be a "make-and-take" time. Kara will provide materials and walk you through creating a self-regulation flip chart. You will leave able to implement something immediately!
